MY LAST FLIGHT

When anyone talks about the last flight I am sure there is some amount of anguish and melancholy, which is but natural.
I had the immense blessings of my Guru and my parents to have had the opportunity to serve AIR INDIA and be a part of every CSR duties. From operation Airlift where I have done eight flights, to organizing and assisting the art director for the film AIRLIFT when they had come to the mockup for the inside aircraft shot.
I was the assistant flight purser way back in the early 90s ,I guess it was 1992 when I detected an explosive device on the food tray in the bulk food trolley in the first class as I was the assistant there, on AI 101 in Delhi. This was during the Khalistan movement. Along with me was Mr. Hemant Solanki who is no more today but I am greatly indebted to him as he really calmed me down and was with me for the entire 16 hours of grilling by various agencies.

On the 26th of October, I did my last flight as the Cabin Supervisor. Along with me was my batchmate Mr. Kaizer Kotwal who was the second Cabin Supervisor. I operated flight AI 144  EWR/BOM.
Capt Subrat Haridas and Capt Rajiv Mallick were in command. I am proud to be associated with the finest gentlemen in our organization.

Just before descend an announcement was made about me and my last flight and passengers wanted to thank me so I took a round in the cabin
I am sharing some videos and images with you.

Current times are very trying and you and my colleagues are involved in the world's most hazardous mission. I salute each one of you, sir. How I wish I was a part of it. My son in law is also a first officer on 787 and they have a one and half year son so we as grandparents are constantly worried and I keep telling my wife that this is AIR INDIA and these fine men are the pillars of this wonderful organization. They are born for missions galore. So always send them to the front line with blessings and love.
